Gallifrey One welcomes enquiries from broadcast and print media such as network television, local/national radio, and local/national magazines, newspapers and major web journals. We have worked with many professional organizations in the past, including CBS Television, the Los Angeles Times, TV Guide and Doctor Who Magazine, and are very happy to hear from you. Press credentials may be available for established journalists from these types of organizations. Please contact us via our web email to get the process going, and our program director will be in touch; we do ask that you specify your credentials, the potential amount of coverage to be given, and the timing of said coverage.
Please note that we prefer to work with press agents who will publicize the convention prior to the event, not immediately afterward; items published eleven months before the next event provide us little if any benefit.
At this time we do not grant press passes to independent writers, photographers, filmmakers, bloggers, podcasters, fanzine publishers, and the like. We appreciate your interest, but being a fan-run event, giving press passes to everyone who asked would severely impact our bottom line, as well as impact the amount of time our paid attendees can spend with our guests.
We are also not looking for any live shows/podcasts to provide content for our event (Gallifrey One already works with Radio Free Skaro as our official podcast provider), and we are not looking for providers to stream our content, either on video or audio, outside the convention.
Also, we do not have the capability or the on-site time allowance to arrange interviews for you. Anyone wishing to meet with and/or interview a guest must approach the guest independently during public sessions at the convention, and it is entirely up to the guest himself/herself if he/she wishes to participate.
